Tema Isotech AS is a distributor of industrial products to various industries and markets in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden.

The company is headquartered at Kokstad outside Bergen, Norway.

Tema Isotech AS has more than 25 years of experience delivering products and solutions according to customers’ specifications.

The company was founded by Rune Hellebø in 2000.

Tore Ingvar Hellebø took over operations and ownership as the 2nd generation in spring 2025.

Tema Isotech is an exclusive supplier in the Nordics for a number of products.

For nearly 10 years, the company has supplied Tema Grating Tape (TGT) to the market in Norway, especially within oil and gas and maritime industries.

TGT is a gasket that protects surfaces against mechanical wear, and at the same time functions as a galvanic barrier, i.e. prevents galvanic corrosion.

Tema Isotech is the exclusive Nordic distributor for the entire product portfolio of the well established manufacturing company ProTech Global Ltd. from the UK.

ProTech Global’s product range includes, among other things, premium cladding, various aluminium foils, tape and the corrosion inhibitor Margel.

They have extensive experience within HVAC and concrete repairs.

We have customers in many different industries: oil and gas, shipping companies, shipyards, process industry and the construction industry (incl. HVAC, plumbing, etc.).

Our customers are end users, dealers and wholesalers.

Our history, it started with Venture Tape Corporation!

Rune Hellebø at Tema Isoleringsprodukter was the exclusive distributor for Venture Tape in Norway until 3M acquired Venture.
Rune Hellebø, together with Steve Wyer (now ProTech Global Ltd.) were the ones who introduced Venture Clad 1577CW to the oil and gas industry in Norway.
It became difficult to maintain the agreement on the Venture products with 3M, and eventually Tema stopped distributing Venture Clad entirely, and Tema had to find new partners.

Thus, a collaboration with PS Adhesive Ltd. and Peter Sauntson in the UK was established, and it has lasted up to the present day. Admittedly, PS Adhesive was acquired by Coastline Adhesive Tapes Ltd., but the relationship has endured and today Tema Isotech has expanded and renewed this distribution agreement.

At the same time, there were regular enquiries related to cladding, and when ProTech Global Ltd. got going with its production of PROCLAD it was natural to put an exclusive distribution agreement in place with them.

It is therefore a paradox today that Tema Isotech competes against 3M’s Venture Clad 1577 with the very competitive PROCLAD 150 and PROCLAD 350 products. PROCLAD is built up in the same way as VC 1577, and was developed by the same person! It is only a matter of time before PROCLAD has taken a strong position in the market, both in oil and gas and HVAC in general, in addition to the maritime and offshore sector.

At Tema Isotech we believe it is important to know our history, after all it is the history that has brought us to where we are today, and that is the foundation for further development.

Our board and executive management

Rune Østhus

Rune Østhus became a board member of Tema Isotech AS in summer 2025. Through his work in research and industry, Rune has shown special skill, drive and pioneering spirit, and has new ideas that can bring our society further forward. He is an outstanding materials technologist with an impressive breadth within his field and has been central in industrial support to Nammo, Raufoss Technology, Benteler and Kongsberg. Among other things, he has been central in space projects and in the development of Nordic Additiv Manufacturing. Rune Østhus is a metallurgist at Nammo Raufoss and holds an MSc Physical Metallurgy from NTNU.

Sigve Hodneland

Sigve Hodneland is an incoming board member from January 2026.

Sigve is Regional Director Vestlandet for the contractor company Hent AS, and he has broad commercial experience from Norway and abroad within oil and gas and the construction industry.

Rune Hellebø

Rune is the founder of Tema Isotech AS (prev. Tema Isoleringsprodukter AS).

He now combines his role as a board member with his new life as a retiree.

Tore I. Hellebø

Tore I. Hellebø is Chair of the Board and Managing Director of Tema Isotech AS.

As the second generation, Tore took over operations and ownership in spring 2025.

He has continued the family company’s focus on quality, reliability and long term relationships, while also modernising the company’s profile and renewing the product portfolio with several exclusive Nordic distribution rights.

The ambition is to continue and further develop Tema Isotech as a safe, competent and preferred supplier for Nordic industry.

Tore holds an MSc in Business from ESCP Business School and officer training from the Royal Norwegian Naval Academy.

He has broad experience from finance, strategy and operational leadership, as a consultant and as an employee, both in Norway and internationally.

Tore also teaches project management and is engaged in competence development and lifelong learning through his role at Utdanningssenteret på Geilo AS.

Tore is married to Zola, and together they have the children Arthur, Theodor and Annabel.

Family takes up much of Tore’s time, but in between he finds time to play football and chess, and go hiking in the mountains.

Concrete repair

Corrosion of the reinforcement cast into concrete is usually visible through spalling and delamination of the concrete surface.

This can be treated using MARGEL, which is a vapour phase corrosion inhibitor.

Margel is normally used at a quantity of 2 Margel 580 capsules per square metre of concrete, based on surface area and with a nominal depth of 400 mm. To treat a wall with dimensions 20 m width, 2.5 m height and 0.4 m depth, there will therefore be a need for 100 capsules to cover 50 square metres.

Marking and drill pattern: For a straight and flat surface, a 1 metre horizontal distance between drill points is recommended, with a second row 0.5 metres below, offset horizontally by 0.5 metres.

The bridge is a listed structure classified as Grade II. It was strengthened in 1928 when the stiffeners were encased in concrete. Today the structure is protected with Margel 580.

Tailored gaskets and double sided tape

Tema Isotech can provide tailored gaskets and masking, double sided tape in all shapes and types, everything to measure and in close dialogue with the customer.

Corrosion under insulation (KUI / CUI)

Margel corrosion inhibitor works excellently in an insulation system with Rockwool, Foamglass or other types of insulation, preferably in combination with ProClad foils and tape.

Corrosion under support (CUPS)

Tema Grating Tape works perfectly as protection between pipe and support and between pipe and “clamps”: it is well known that “CUPS” is a major problem in the oil and gas industry. TGT can be a solution.

Our focus

Tema Isotech has a holistic focus on sustainability, anchored in the three dimensions of ESG, environment (Environmental), social conditions (Social) and governance (Governance). We carry out due diligence assessments in line with the Norwegian Transparency Act (Åpenhetsloven) to ensure accountability throughout the value chain and fulfil our social responsibility.

We are particularly concerned with reducing the carbon footprint of our products. Where possible, our products shall have an Environmental Product Declaration (EPD) documenting environmental impact throughout the entire life cycle.

Tema Isotech works continuously on sustainable improvements, with particular focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals 12 (Responsible consumption and production) and 13 (Climate action).

As the company grows, we will prepare an annual sustainability report, preferably in cooperation with our manufacturers, suppliers, dealers and customers, to ensure transparency, improvement and shared goal achievement.

Tema remains Tema: Isoleringsprodukter becomes Isotech!

Hooray! We will celebrate more later, since we have our 25-year anniversary this year, but from today we are called TEMA ISOTECH AS! The new name reflects that we hold firmly to our history, our partners and products and services, but that we are EXPANDING THE PRODUCT PORTFOLIO, WE WANT TO DO MORE of the same, and at the same time contribute with more products and services to more industries, including HVAC and the construction industry, and of course OIL AND GAS AND OFFSHORE in general WILL REMAIN OUR MAIN FOCUS. It is appropriate to honour Rune Hellebø as the one who has kept the business going through these first 25 years, THANK YOU, more about this later!
